Journal your Fusion Markets MT5 trades automatically
If you trade with Fusion Markets on MetaTrader 5 for Windows, AI Trading Journal can save every closed trade in your own journal on your PC (with an optional copy in your own Notion workspace) about every 5 minutes. It reads your Fusion Markets terminal on your PC. It does not connect to Fusion Markets, so you never give anyone your Fusion Markets login.
What Fusion Markets says about MT5
Facts below are from Fusion Markets's own pages (https://www.fusionmarkets.com/eu/Platforms/Metatrader-5), checked on 11 October 2026. Offers change, so check the broker's site for the latest. We are not affiliated with Fusion Markets, and nothing here is a recommendation of it.
- Its EU page presents MT5 as a way to trade forex, stocks, futures and other products as CFDs.
- It says MT5 offers 21 timeframes and that strategies are written in MQL5, which it describes as object-oriented with syntax similar to C++.
- It lists installers for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, plus a web-based version.
- The page says the site is operated by Fusion Markets EU Ltd, which serves residents of the European Union, so check which Fusion Markets site and entity your own account is with.
What that means for your journal
The app reads whichever MT5 terminal you log in to on your PC, so the Fusion Markets entity behind your account does not change the setup. It does change your costs and rules, so write the account type in the Notes field and compare net results, not just the price moves.
Journaling tips for Fusion Markets accounts
- Set up the journal once per Fusion Markets account; each gets its own Notion database.
- If you test an EA, keep its trades apart from your manual trades with a tag and review them separately.
- Compare results net of commission, not just pips, when you switch between account types.
How to set it up
- Install the MT5 terminal on your Windows PC and log in to your Fusion Markets account.
- Install AI Trading Journal, click Add Account and pick your logged-in account. It finds your terminal and account.
- Click Create my journal. The app imports your whole history and keeps it up to date about every 5 minutes.
- Optional: click Connect Notion to keep a copy of the journal in your own Notion workspace.
What each journal entry contains
For every closed position: symbol, direction, volume, open and close time, entry and exit price, stop loss, take profit and profit or loss, plus your own setup, emotion, rating, tags, notes and screenshots, which a sync never overwrites. A daily row shows the day's result, win rate and drawdown.
A weekly review for your Fusion Markets trades
- Which symbols made or lost money this week?
- Which session were most of the losses taken in?
- Did lot size stay inside your plan?
- How many trades would you not take again?
The weekly trading review checklist turns these into a 20-minute routine, and win rate, profit factor and expectancy explained shows how to read the numbers.
Privacy and cost compared with a cloud journal
| Question | Cloud journal | AI Trading Journal |
|---|---|---|
| Where do your trades live? | On the vendor's servers | On your own PC; they do not pass through our servers |
| Does it need your broker login? | Many connect with account login and investor password, or an Expert Advisor that sends data out | No. It reads your own logged-in MT5 terminal on your PC |
| What if you stop paying? | Access and history can end with the subscription | Your Notion journal stays yours |
| Can it place trades? | Read-only access is typical, but you are trusting the vendor | It is read-only by design; it never places, changes or closes a trade |
An honest note on privacy. Notion is itself a cloud service, so your trades do sit on Notion's servers, in your own workspace, under your own account and token. What AI Trading Journal removes is the extra middleman: there is no separate journal vendor holding your trades and no broker login sent to a website. No tool is risk-free, so protect your accounts, including Notion if you connect it, with a strong password and two-step verification.
Limits to know

More from Fusion Markets' MT5 page (read 11 October 2026)
- The page invites visitors to open a live account or try a free demo, and it does not list specific account requirements for MT5.
- It carries a risk warning: CFDs carry a high risk of losing money quickly because of leverage, and most retail accounts lose money trading them.
- It names the operating company and its location on the page, which is worth reading for anyone choosing an entity.
A simple way to test an Expert Advisor in the journal
The page mentions MQL5, so many readers will run automated strategies. A journal makes an EA honest: tag every EA trade and compare it with your manual trades over the same weeks. Judge it on net result per trade after costs, not on a few good days.
| Source | Trades | Win rate | Net per trade |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manual (hypothetical) | 42 | 55% | +$3.1 |
| EA (hypothetical) | 120 | 48% | +$1.4 |
The figures are invented. If your EA trades far more often than you do, check whether its costs eat the edge. Our trades-per-day guide shows how to count and cap activity.
Which entity is your account with?
Fusion Markets operates through more than one site and company. The journal does not care, because it reads your terminal, but your protections and costs can. Write the entity in your trade notes so the record stays clear a year from now.
